SOS Staffing Services, Inc. began providing quality temporary associates in 1973. The business grew quickly during its first years in Utah, and established a reputation for doing its utmost to satisfy customers and create opportunities for its associates.
By 1975, SOS had expanded to multiple locations in Utah and became one of the largest staffing services in the western United States. In 1981, SOS opened its first specialty division, supplying customers with talented engineers and technical personnel. We have since expanded our specialty offerings to include personnel for Accounting & Finance, Contact Center, Energy, Scientific, Skilled Trades and more. And in 2008, we began offering outplacement through our sister company NextJob ©. Today, the SOS Staffing Family of Companies operates throughout North America.

Serving a diverse range of clients from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies, we provide employment for more than 70,000 temporary, temporary-to-hire and direct hire job seekers for more than 9,000 clients every year. Our goal is just as simple as it was more than 35 years ago: to unite talent and skills with opportunities.
We are involved in our local communities and have provided valuable industry leadership, including three former presidents and recipients of the National Industry Leaders Award of the American Staffing Association (ASA). We have also received Best Employer awards as well as largest staffing firm recognition in Colorado, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
We have consistently led the staffing industry in adopting new technologies, including the implementation of one of the first hands-on office skills evaluations. Today, the SOS Staffing Family of Companies also offer automated timekeeping, a proprietary end-to-end software system to more successfully place candidates and monitor client satisfaction, and a reporting system for clients to track their staffing spend and usage details.
